7 June - More Installation

Day two of the installation progress... this was a big day, as the long hanging banners depicting San Carlos Water were being installed. These banners provide a backdrop behind the Sea Harrier on the plinth, which will give an extra wow-factor to anyone entering the hall from the top gallery. Combined with the big Falklands30 logo on the front of the plinth, this panorama (with the Harrier appearing to 'fly' into it) will really set the scene and draw people in.

Also being installed were some foamex boards, some of them inlaid into display cases. The next process is to deliver the remaining foamex panels, wedge stands for directional signage and the aluminium aircraft information boards...
